CereLink ICP Extension Cable

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please Read Before Use
Description
The CereLink ICP Extension Cable (Extension Cable) is a 3m-long cable that
™
is reusable and is supplied nonsterile. It is intended for use as a connecting
cable between the ICP input channel of the CereLink ICP Monitor (Monitor)
and a CereLink ICP Sensor (Sensor).
Warnings
The Extension Cable is MR Unsafe. Do not bring the Extension Cable into the
MR environment.
Modification of the Extension Cable is not permitted. Unauthorized
modifications to the Extension Cable can cause a malfunction resulting in
serious patient injury.
Precautions
Read and follow the instructions packaged with the Monitor and the Sensor
before using the Extension Cable.
Visually inspect the Extension Cable before and after each use for the
following:
• Cable insulation is intact and no cracks are visible.
• Connectors are undamaged; connector pins are not bent.
• Connectors must be dry.
If the Extension Cable does not comply with these conditions or has any
other problems that might affect function, do not use the Extension Cable.
Contact your sales representative for a replacement.
The connectors for the Extension Cable must be properly aligned with the
receptacles on the Monitor before pushing these parts together. DO NOT
twist the connector. Twisting the connector in this manner will damage the
pins and can lead to product malfunction.
Do not immerse the Extension Cable in any liquid or allow liquid to enter
the connectors. Do not use the Extension Cable if connectors become wet;
erratic results may occur.
