11. Connection of rubber tube and regulator.
WARNING
! Make sure the hose does not come into
contact with any high-temperature surface, or it may melt
and cause a fire.
12. Checking for leaks.
WARNING! A leak test must be performed annually, every time the cylinder is changed
or if the rubber or regulator is replaced.
CAUTION! Never use a flame to check for gas leaks. Make sure there are no sparks or
flames nearby when checking for leaks. A spark or flame can cause fire or explosion,
property damage, accidents and even death.
LEAK TEST:
component is replaced. Do not smoke while performing this test and stay away from
any ignition points.
Apply a half water half soap solution to all regulator connections, rubber tubing and
valves.
Bubbles will indicate a gas leak. Tighten the connections or replace them with others
recommended by the manufacturer.
If the leak cannot be stopped, shut off the gas supply to the cylinder immediately,
disconnect it and contact the manufacturer's service department for inspection. Do not
use the stove until the gas leak has been stopped.
