4.1 Start up
•
Add 150 g of type SAE 30 or equivalent motor oil.
•
Loosen the guard (19) and insert it in the extension (24).
•
Tighten the extension (24) and tighten the nut (21) with the wrenches provided.
•
Put in the hook (22) and tighten the two screws (26).
•
Attach the two belt spring catches to tool couplings (4) and (6).
WARNING!
Make certain all the tool components are well secured and the screws are tight before attempting to operate the tool.
4.1 Operation
WARNING!
Carefully follow the instructions given in paragraph 2.1.1 "Results of the tests made by law".
Put on the tool as shown in figure (F), adjusting the length of the strap (35) with the buckles (34). The tool should be worn at hip–
level, as shown in the figure (F). It is fundamental that the strap (35) is pulled tight in order for the tool to be well–balanced and
therefore cause less operator fatigue. After making the preliminary adjustments, select the branches the hook is to be attached to.
Prefer branches directly attached to the trunk. Place the hook towards the middle of the branch, as illustrated in figure (G) as this
position assures it is flexible enough to transmit the correct vibrations to detach the fruit.
If placed too close to the trunk, vibrations that are dangerous for the machine and bothersome to the operator are transmitted.
To place the hook (22) on the branch, turn the extension with the handgrip (23) until connected. Move your left hand on to the
handgrip (17) and maintain the position. Keep the tool at low speed and accelerate several times, lasting 4–6 seconds at most
each time.
WARNING!
Accelerating on the same spot on the branch for a long time does not favor detachment of the fruits; change the position
of the hook and repeat shaking.
4.3 Stopping the tool
Turn the switch (10) to position OFF to shut off the tool.
