Operating instructions
Grounding the pump
• When installing the pump, be sure to per orm grounding in the
speci ied location.
• Also connect ground wires or the auxiliary equipment and piping.
• Use a grounding cable o at least 12 gauge (2.0 mm
• I the pump you have purchased is valid or Atex, a speci ic Atex
manual will accompany this one. Read this manual be ore operating
the pump.
• I the unit is marked with the symbol,
explosive atmospheres. Below this symbol, in the nameplate o the
pump, are indicated the areas or which the equipment is approved.
You will also ind the maximum allowable sur ace temperature in the
same plate.
• Connect grounding wires to the pump, piping and all other equipment too.
• When the pump operates ungrounded or with an incorrect connection,
riction between parts and abrasion caused by some luids that low
inside the pump, can generate static electricity. Moreover, according to
the type o luid pump and the installation environment (such as gases
in the air or the type o the surrounding acilities) static electricity can
cause ire or electric shock.
