Operating with external 18V BOSCH
Li-ion battery pack (Fig. 2-4)
When using only an external 18V BOSCH Li-ion battery
pack and turning on the radio, a battery symbol will
appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

To install the battery pack, align the tongue on the
battery pack with the groove in the housing and slip it
into place. Always insert it all the way until it locks in
place with two clicks.
3. To remove the battery pack, slide it from the radio while
pressing the button on the front of the battery pack.
4. Close the battery cover.
CAUTION:
● Always attach the battery pack completely. If not, it may
accidentally fall out of the battery bay, causing injury to
you or someone around you.
● Do not force attach the battery pack. If the battery pack
does not slide in smoothly and does not engage, it is
not being inserted correctly.
Indicating the remaining battery
capacity (Fig. 5)

Press the Check button on the battery pack to indicate the
remaining battery capacity.
AC operation
Before you plug the AC power cord into the AC socket,
make sure the voltage is correct.
If an external 18V BOSCH Li-ion battery pack is
connected and the AC power cord is also used, the
battery will be automatically disconnected.
AC cable hook is designed to store the cord when the
radio is not in use.
IMPORTANT:
The mains plug is used as the means of connecting the
radio to the mains supply. The mains socket used for
the radio must remain accessible during normal use. In
order to disconnect the radio from the mains completely,
the mains plug should be removed from the mains outlet
completely.
Listening to DAB radio
Tuning into DAB stations
To tune into DAB radio stations, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the radio using the Standby button.
2. Select the DAB radio mode by repeatedly pressing the
Source button.

If this is the first time the DAB radio mode is being
used, the radio will automatically perform a full scan in
order to find all available DAB radio stations. During
the scanning process, as new stations are detected
the station counter will increase and the stations will be
added to the list which is stored in the radio. The bar
graph indicates the progress of the scan.
4. When scanning is completed, the radio will list all
stations that were found. Rotate the Tuning knob to
access the radio station list and to scroll through the
available stations. Then press the Tuning knob to tune
into a station.
5. Use the Volume knob to set the sound level as needed.
