INSTALLATION
Before starting the installation, follow the general instructions. Also:
- Check the WLL of the accessory for suitable capacity.
- Check that the load rope is not tangled, knotted or damaged.
Only after the preliminary checks have been completed, the accessory can be connected to the anchor point and the following
checks carried out:
- The anchorage point of the accessory must be chosen in such a way that the supporting structure, to which it is to be mounted,
has sufficient stability and that the intended forces can be safely loaded.
- Before each start of work, visual defects and faults such as deformations, cracks, wear and corrosion must be checked on the
unit, including the suspension, the equipment and the supporting structure. The brake and the correct winch of the unit and the
load must also be checked.
- Check the rope for external defects, deformations, bends, breaks in individual ropes or strands, dents, bulges, rust damage (e.g.
signs of corrosion), severe overheating or severe wear at the rope end joints (e.g. of the press-on sleeve). Damage to the rope
can lead to malfunctions and further damage to the winch.
OPERATIONS
Inserting the rope into the winch
Move the feed (A) and return (B) levers to the position as close as possible to the rope insertion hole (Fig. 2-1).
While holding the return lever (B) and jaw release lever (C) stationary, move the feed lever (A) as close as possible to the anchor
pin (Fig. 2-2).
While holding the feed lever (A) stationary, simultaneously push the jaw release lever (C) and the return lever (B) towards the
anchor pin, until the jaw release lever (C) remains engaged in its entirety in the housing on the winch body (Fig. 2-3).
Note: To make this operation easier, it is advisable to position the winch vertically, and place it on the ground, with the
load pin facing downwards.
