2.2 Intended use
The Junction Box Ex d is an explosion-proof sensor enclosure that makes it
possible to install the sensor separately from the transmitter. The housing
consists of robust stainless steel or aluminum and is suitable for indoor or
outdoor applications.
The Junction Box Ex d is suitable for wall, ceiling and duct mounting.
Duct mounting requires additional connection kits.
3 Installation
Prerequisite:

– When using a Polytron, first unscrew the sensor from the transmitter.
The Junction Box Ex d can be used to measure gases in the ambient air or
within pipes/ducts.
1. Mount the Junction Box Ex d with M6 (1/4") hexagon socket head cap
screws to one of the following options
