7. BATTERIES AND CHARGING
7.1. Battery and Charger Warnings
Upon initial receipt and before each use, inspect each battery for damage. Do not
attempt to charge or use a damaged battery. Damaged batteries must be correctly
disposed, immediately.
Do not expose a battery to heat, fire, mechanical shock, or store in direct sunlight.
Do not open or dismantle a battery.
Do not sterilize, immerse, or expose a battery to water, solvents, lubricants, or
other chemicals. Do not allow water to collect in the battery contacts. Keep clean
and dry.
Do not short-circuit, crush, or shred a battery.
Do not store the batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer in which the batteries
may short circuit each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects. It is
recommended to store unused batteries in the provided plastic containers.
In the event of a battery leakage, do not allow the liquid to contact skin or eyes. If
contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water
and seek medical advice.
Do not use any charger other than the charger supplied by the manufacturer.
Ensure correct battery orientation is followed before placing into a device or
charger.
Do not attempt to force a battery into a device.
When possible, remove the battery from equipment when not in use.
Do not over-discharge the battery. Ensure that a battery is promptly charged in an
appropriate charger.
Do not store batteries in a discharged state.
Do not store batteries for more than one year without recharge.
Do not leave charger unattended while connected to power.
Do not attempt to charge a non-rechargeable battery.
Operate charger in a well-ventilated area.
NOTE: The batteries and/or charger my become warm during the charging process.
7.2. Low Battery Signal
The Recording Unit will beep when the battery charge becomes low.
