4. INSTALLATION
4.1. Battery Installation
NOTE: Batteries are provided in a discharged state. It is recommended to fully charge
all batteries before using the device.
WARNING: Inspect batteries prior to use. Do not use any battery that has any visible
signs of damage or deformation.
4.2. SD Card Installation
NOTE: The Recording Unit must be powered off when installing the microSDXC Card,
otherwise the Recording Unit will automatically power down.
Open the SD Card rubber cover and insert the microSDXC Card with the contacts
facing toward the front of the Recording Unit into the slot. Press down until the card
clicks into place. Replace the rubber cover.
After a new SD Card is installed, the card will need to be formatted. Refer to
Format SD Card for detailed instructions.
4.3. HD Camera Attachment
Install the HD Camera on a CUDA Surgical LED Headlight using the thumbscrew
provided as depicted in Figure 2. or attach the HD Camera onto a generic headlight
using the clamp depicted in Figure 3.
NOTE: The HD camera has the potential to fall if not securely mounted to a headlight.
Please ensure that the HD Camera is securely fastened to a headlight prior to use.
Connect the HD Camera to the Recording Unit with the provided USB-C cable. The
Recording Unit can be connected to an HD Camera in either the ON or OFF state.

Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding upward
until it clicks.
