8. Motor Housing Assembly.
Locate 4 screws on outer rim at top of motor
assembly and partially loosen 2 of the screws
that are directly opposite each other. Remove
the other 2 screws from the motor assembly.
Now, raise motor housing to motor assembly,
aligning slotted holes in motor housing with
loosened screws in motor assembly. Twist
motor housing to lock. Re-insert the 2 screws
that were previously removed and then
tighten all 4 screws to secure motor housing.
Locate 4 tabs inside housing ring. Place
housing ring at bottom of motor housing
with wider opening facing up (toward ceiling).
Gently begin pushing housing ring toward top
of motor housing, aligning tabs in housing
ring with 4 elongated indentations at top of
motor housing.
IMPORTANT: Each tab should slide into one of
the 4 indentations to ensure housing ring fits
securely.
9. Blade Assembly.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
bodily injury,
DO NOT use power tools to
assemble the blades. If blade screws are
overtightened, blades may crack and break.
Locate 6 blade screws/lock washers/flat
washers in hardware pack.
Before intalling each blade, make sure the
end of the blade with holes for installation is
turned so the FLAT side is toward the ceiling.
Raise blade to the motor, aligning holes in
blade with corresponding holes in motor.
Then, hold blade plate up to blade, aligning
holes as shown, and partially insert 2 blade
screws/lock washers with fingers first to
attach blade to motor. Before securing
screws permanently, repeat procedure for
remaining blades. Securely tighten all screws
only after all 3 blades have been attached.
NOTE: Tighten blade screws twice a year.
