ENERGY METER
MAIN INFORMATION
– The installation of the heat counters
must comply with the normative referen-
ce EN 1434, parts 1 + 6 , and I.E.E wiring
regulations.
– This heat counter is manufactured accor-
ding to the current safety regulations.
The maintenance operations must be
made by authorized personnel only.
– Breakage of any of the seals on the heat
counter will invalidate the warranty.
– A minimum separation of 20 mm must
be maintained from any electromagnetic
device, and a minimum of 50mm from
any other electrical wiring.
– The cables to the temperature sensors
must not be tightly coiled, lengthened or
shortened.
– Unpack the meter immediately prior fit-
ting to avoid it becoming damaged.
– Clean using a dry cloth.
– When multiple heat counters are instal-
led it is important to observe the wiring
polarity.
NOTE: Ensure that the counter is fitted to
the correct pipe, according to its version.
If the heat counter is supplied with two sets
of technical data, fro instance:
Q≥ 24l/h ∆T: 3-100 K / Q≥ 12l/h ∆T: 6-
100K
Delete the data not corresponding to the
actual installation
Example:
In case of underfloor heating:
Q≥ 24l/h ∆T: 3-100 K
In case of radiant plates heating:
Q≥ 24l/h ∆T: 3-100 K
INSTALLATION OF HEAT COUNTER
– Turn off the isolation valves, and drain the
system.
– Remove the pre-fitted pipe.
– Ensure that the washers are removed.
– Clean the surfaces.
– Fit the new gasket.
– Fit the heat counter ensuring the correct
orientation with the flow.
– Tighten the two nuts.
– Rotate the calculator to the correct rea-
ding position.
NOTES: To ease the fitting, the heat counter
can be removed from the fitting. to separa-
te depress the tabs indicated and gently pull
the counter.
FITTING THE SENSOR
Installation of the union ring
Place the O-ring
into the middle
groove. Bring the
screw nut near the
O-ring. Insert the
sensor, as far as
possible into the TE
union, then tighten
the nut.

Installation of the sphere ball
Place the O-ring
onto the closest
groove to the tip of
the sensor. Bring
the screw nut near
the Oring. Insert the
sensor as far as
possible into the fit-
ting, then tighten
the nut.
START UP
– Slowly open the isolation valves.
– Check for leaks and check operation.
When the operation of the heat counter is
confirmed, the counter and the sensors
require sealing.
Note the readings from the heat counter.
Then check the following:
– Is the heating installation in operation?
– Do the isolation valves open up?
– Are the temperature sensors sealed (to
avoid tampering)?
– Is the setting of the heat counter appro-
priate?
– Does the indicator arrow, fitted onto the
flow sensor, reflect the actual flow?
– Is the volume displayed?
– Is the volume displayed?
– Is the displayed temperature difference
correct?
– Ensure that the sensors are positioned
correctly (flow-return)?
