Low oil level operation will cause severe engine
damage.
1. Place the log splitter on a flat floor;
2. Remove the cap (cap + dipstick)
3. Check the oil level;
4. If the level is low, add oil (15W40) until the you reach
appropriate level;
Oil change operation:
5. Remove the oil drain plug and empty all the oil;
6. Screw in the oil drain plug and fill with new oil;
7. Check the oil level and adjust it to its proper level.
Before any use, always check the hydraulic oil level.
1. Check the hydraulic oil level sensor
2. If the oil level is low, remove the hydraulic oil tank cap
(27) and add hydraulic oil (ISO VG 22) until the
appropriate level is reached.
1. Remove wing nut and filter cap (21);
2. Remove the filtering element and blow out with
compressed air until it is completely clean;
3. Place the filtering element and assemble the remaining
components in the reverse order in comparison with
disassembly.
The use of the dirty filter will restrict the air flow in
the carburettor affecting the pump performance.
To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug should
be clean and with adequate gap between the electrodes.
1. Remove the spark plug cap (40), unscrew spark plug
(40) and check that it is clean;
2. Measure the distance between the electrodes with a
suitable tool. The distance must be between 0.7-0.8 mm.
If necessary, bend the electrode until you reach the
appropriate gap;
3. Place the spark plug by hand to avoid damage to the
thread and screw in order to compress the sealing
washer using the wrench provided;
4. In case the spark plug does not sparkle when starting,
replace it.
A Loose spark plug may overheat and cause engine
damage.
1. Place a petrol container under the carburetor (20);
2. Unscrew the carburetor drain screw and open the fuel
tap (37);
3. Let it drain until completely clean;
4. Screw the purge valve.
When filling the fuel tank, do not exceed the maximum
level. Do not fill above the top level of the filter.
1. Unfasten the fuel tank cap;
2. Remove the filter and blow out with compressed air until
it is completely clean;
3. Fit the filter clean and screw the fuel cap on.
