Always hold the power cord by the plug. Never pull on the cable itself
and never hold the power cord with wet hands as this may cause a short
circuit or electric shock. Do not place the unit itself or any furniture or other
devices on the power cord and make sure that the cable does not get
trapped. Never tie knots in the cable and do not tie it to other cables. The
power cord should be positioned so that nobody can trip over it or be
obstructed by it. A damaged power cord can cause a fire or electric
shock. Check the power cord from time to time. If it is damaged, contact
the nearest authorised service centre or your dealer for a replacement.
Insert the batteries with the correct polarity. Refer to the diagram inside the
battery compartment. Do not attempt to recharge the batteries and do not
throw batteries into a fire. Do not mix battery types (old and new or
carbon and alkaline, etc.). Remove the batteries if the device will not be in
use for an extended period. Improper use could cause explosions or
leaks.
