Ex-AI 2xI 2-wire HART
•
You may connect sensors from zone 0, zone 1, zone 2 as well as zone 20, zone 21,
zone 22 and the safe area to the BaseUnit. You can find the pin assignments of
the I/O module in the corresponding operating instructions.
•
The intrinsic safety of the interconnection of I/O module, sensors and cabling must
be proven by calculating the safety-related characteristic values. These values are
stated in the respective Ex certificates or on the data sheet of the cable.

Equipping
•
Check the I/O module for damage! You may only plug undamaged I/O modules
onto the BaseUnit.
•
The coding element on the BaseUnit latches into place the first time that a I/O
module is plugged in. This prevents the insertion of a wrong module. This
mechanical coding may not be changed.
•
When configuring the ET 200SP HA and the ET 200SP, you must observe the
permissible number of I/O modules (see the respective operating instructions).
WARNING
Permissible number of I/O modules
When configuring the ET 200SP HA and the ET 200SP, you must observe the rules
specified below for the maximum configuration and load of the Ex power modules.
Load on the Ex power modules
•
Ensure that the current consumption of the Ex I/O modules of an Ex module group
does not exceed the permissible output current of the Ex power module.
•
The maximum current requirement of the I/O module can be found in the
technical specifications.
