turning it by 90° to the right or left according to the specific requirements.
2. Connect the fitting (1) to a sufficiently resistant rubber pipe (2) (so that it is not deformed
or throttled in any way).
3. Secure it with a pipe clip (3) and route it to an appropriate drain.
4. Make sure that the pipe slopes enough to allow the condensation to flow down natu-
rally.
5. Check the efficiency of the drain by pouring a small amount of water directly into the
tray of the outdoor unit.
Note: The kit is supplied together with the machine for the heat pump versions.

INSTALLING THE INDOOR UNIT

Choice of place of installation. In compliance with the conditions indicated in the "Installation Diagrams" section, posi-
tion the unit as low as possible, leaving 10 cm of free space over the unit. Before fixing it to the wall, check that the wall
can withstand the weight of the unit, that the air flow is not obstructed by curtains and the like and that the position is
suitable for guaranteeing optimum diffusion of air in the room.
Installation. After choosing where to position the indoor unit, use the fixing plate as a template in order to find the exact
position for the expansion plugs and for the hole through the wall. The overall space required for installation must be
considered. The plastic casing of the unit features pre-cut sections (see fig. 3 in the "Other installations of the mural
unit" section) that, if necessary, can be removed to allow the refrigerant lines and cables to be passed through.

Proceed as follows:
1. Position the plate on the wall at a suitable height and fix it in place keeping it as
level as possible (use a spirit level).
2. Mark the position of the securing holes.
3. Using a drill and 8 mm bit, drill the holes for securing the unit and insert the
expansion plugs.
4. Choose the outlet side of the connection pipes. It is advisable to use the rear
right-hand outlet but if this is not possible, see the "OTHER INSTALLATIONS"
section.
5. Drill a 70 mm hole in the wall (Fig.3), slightly sloping downwards towards the
outer part, starting to drill from one side of the wall (A) and ending with the
opposite side (B) to prevent the actual wall from breaking.
6. Fix the plate to the four holes drilled previously using the relative screws.
7. Carefully lift and turn the pipe sections required to connect the outdoor unit and
pass them through the 70 mm hole.
8. Pass the condensation drain pipe through the same hole. Depending on the
specific requirements, this pipe may be conveyed also in other directions provided
that it slopes sufficiently to allow the condensation to flow down.
9. Hang the indoor unit securely on the hooks of the securing plate.
10. Make sure that it is firmly secured by moving the unit to the right and left.
Note: To make the unit easier to fix to the plate, hold the bottom part of the unit
up and lower it in a perpendicular position accompanying the sheath. (Fig.4).
The installer must perform all the operations according to specific requirements.
