Connect the supplied power adapter to an electrical outlet
and the plug to the power outlet (9).
Alternatively, the appliance can be powered by batteries;
open the battery compartment on the back and insert four
1.5V "AA" type batteries, following the polarity indications on
the cabinet. Close the battery compartment.
Note:
- Remove the batteries if not used for a long time.
- The charge level of the batteries is indicated by an icon on
the display, when the batteries are low "Battery low" mes-
sage will appear on the display, replace them immediately.
- The battery power supply is recommended for occasional
use in the absence of mains power. Whenever possible,
always use the power adaptor provided.
SWITCHING ON/OFF - STANDBY
1. Extend the telescopic antenna;
2. Press and hold 2 sec. the STANDBY button (2) to switch On
the appliance;
3. The device will go to the DAB reception system.
When first turned on, the device will automatically scan
the DAB/DAB+ stations, storing them in alphabetical
order;
4. Press and hold 2 sec. the STANDBY button (2) to put the
appliance in Stand-by mode. The display will show the
current time (only if powered with external power adap-
tor);
5. Press and hold another 2 sec. the STANDBY button (2) to
completely switch off the appliance.

FM/DAB SELECTION AND VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
1. Press the MODE button (3) to switch between the DAB/
DAB+ reception system and the FM reception system;
2. Turn the VOLUME knob (7) to decrease or increase the
volume.
SETTINGS MENU
1. Press and hold the MENU key (4) for a few seconds, the
settings menu will appear on the display;
2. Press the TUNE DOWN (5) or TUNE UP (6) buttons and
select the desired item;
3. Press the ENTER key/knob (7) to enter the settings of the
selected item, press the MENU button (4) to go back.
The following items are available in the settings menu (some
are displayed depending on whether DAB or FM mode is
selected):
Station list (DAB): the complete list of stored DAB radio
stations is shown. Select the desired station using keys (5)
and (6) and confirm with ENTER (7).
Preset Recall: allows you to recall a radio station stored in
one of the 40 available memories.
Preset Store: allows you to save a radio station in one of the
40 available memories.
Audio Setting (FM): allows you to select listening in Stereo
or Mono.
Scan Setting (FM): allows you to search on FM stations with a
strong signal or on all stations found.
Scan (DAB): selecting this item automatically scans and
stores received radio stations.
Manual tune (DAB): select the desired frequency / channel
and confirm with ENTER (7). A bar will show the strength
of the received signal.
Prune Invalid (DAB): allows you to remove from the list of
stored stations all the radios found but not available (poor
signal).
Backlight: allows you to set the time and brightness level of
the display:
Timeout: set the time after which the display
lowers the brightness without commands.
Level: to set the brightness level of the display
when the appliance is active.
Time/Date: allows you to set the current time/date.
Set Time/Date: set the current time and date.
Set Hour System: set the 12/24H time format.
Set Date Format: set the date format.
Clock style: select the type of clock to show on
the display when the radio is in standby mode.
Auto Update: select from which source you
automatically set the time and date if available.
Alarms: allows you to activate and set two alarms. Select
Alarm1 or 2 and confirming you access a submenu in
which to set:
Alarm: On/Off to activate/deactivate the alarm.
Time: set the alarm activation time.
Source: set the type of ringtone between Buzzer
(progressive ringtone), Digital radio (DAB), FM
(FM radio).
Repeat: Daily (every day), Once (once only),
Weekends (on Saturdays and Sundays), workday
(from Monday to Friday).
