Fitting the rubber feet
How to proceed:

• Twist the rubber feet into the openings of the filter unit base.
Prepare the filter media
NOTE
Thoroughly rinse out all filter material with warm tap water before using for the first
time in order to remove any soiling. (→ Cleaning/replacing the filter media P.17-18)
Retrofitting the heater
BioMaster 250/350/600/850 non Thermo models can be retrofitted with OASE HeatUp heater.
• An adapter is required for retrofitting (provided in the delivery scope).

Prerequisite: The filter unit is unplugged. (→ Switching off the unit P.14)
NOTE
When the filter is filled with water, water may spill when the heater is inserted.
• Take measures to clean / prevent any spillage.
How to proceed:

1. Twist the plug counter-clockwise and remove.
2. Moisten the heater with water and gently push the heater into the HeatUp adapter as far as it goes.
3. Fit the heater into the filter unit. (→ Fitting the heater P.6)

Assembling the inlet assembly
How to proceed:

• Assemble the inlet assembly.
1. Install intake assembly by connecting the inlet strainer, adapter, and inlet tube
2. Attach assembled parts to the adjustable inlet adapter
3. Screw locking nut onto adjustable inlet adapter
4. Connect the clips to the suction cups. These will be used to attach the intake assembly to the tank
5. Attach the clips at the inlet pipe and adjustable inlet adapter as shown.
6. Use a coin or a flat head screwdriver to turn the flow regulator on the inlet adapter to MAX.
