- the product must be installed respecting the minimum distances from ceiling, floor and objects at the
sides indicated in picture 1
- Do not use this heater with a programmable switch, timer or any automatic switching device because
of danger and/or fire hazard if the heater is covered
- this infrared wall mounted heater is only suitable for mounting horizontally on a solid vertical wall.
Never install it vertically or on the ceiling as indicated in picture 2
- the product must not be mounted on any inflammable surface such as wood or plastic. Any inflam-
mable materials must be at least 70 cm. away from the front face. this is also the minimum distance
the user has to keep from the product because during use the front grille gets hot.
- the appliance must not operate in rooms where danger can arise from explosive gases or where
inflammable materials are being used, such as wood block or PVC flooring is being laid or sealed
- Care should be taken to mount the appliance so that the product and the pull cord switch are out of
the reach of children. If it is installed in a bathroom, it should be positioned so that it cannot be touched
by anyone who is in the bath or in the shower.
- the safety zones defined by your local electrical installation Standards or the Safety regulations
applicable in your country are to be exactly observed. In any case never install the heater inside the
patterned areas called ZONE 0, 1 and 2 shown in picture 3.
- After use we recommend to leave the product cool down for at least 10 – 15 minutes before touching it.
- Before the appliance is started up for the 1st time check that all the plastic pieces used in the packa-
ging or to protect the tube element have been removed.
INSTALLATION
We recommend to switch off the mains electricity supply before proceeding with the following steps:
- Remove the front cover of the control unit by unscrewing the cross head screw on the front (picture 4)
- Prepare the 3 holes (diam. 5mm) in the wall respecting the distances shown in picture 5. You can also
use the control unit or the detachable frame from the box as a reference. See picture 6.
- Insert the 3 rawplugs you have found in the box.
- Feed the electric lead in from behind through the round opening of the control unit and make connec-
tions according to the following instructions (Picture 9).
- Fasten the appliance to the wall using the supplied screws (picture 10);
- this infrared quartz heater can be installed with the control unit on the right ( as supplied) or on the
left ( pictures 7 and 8). the product is pre-assembled to be installed with the control unit on the right.
If you want to turn it to the left you have to:
- Keep the product horizontally (do not pivot it!);
- Remove the screw from the indicated position "1" (see pictures 7a and 7b);
- turn the heater and replace the screw in position "2" (see pictures 7c and 7d);
- Change the switch cord pattern. the cord must always exit from the bottom of the control unit
(see pictures 7a and 7d).
- It is possible to swivel the housing downwards in 2 different positions (picture 11) Before doing this
the appliance must be in the 0 position (OFF) and must have cooled down for at least 15 minutes.
- When you have chosen one position, it is necessary to fix it with the extra screw supplied for this
purpose. (picture 12)
- Product must be installed always downwards, in any case it must be installed upwards.
CONNECtION tO tHE MAINS ELECtRICItY SUPPLY
- the appliance may only be connected to a 1/N/PE 230V AC 50 Hz supply with a three core lead (
phase, neutral and earth wires). If the cordset is to be used we recommend to use a rubber coated one
(type H05-RRF) with at least a 3 x 1 mm
- the safety precautions usual in the country of use and the regulations of the local electricity supply
are to be observed. the appliance is fitted in the factory with an all – pole switch providing a contact
break distance of ≥3 mm.
