TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Water is not draining into
Reservoir
Power light is on but little or
no mist is released
Water leaking from Base,
Reservoir or Tank Sides
Float Paddle is floating in
the Base
NOTE: Failure to keep this unit clean from mineral deposits normally contained in any water supply will affect
the efficiency of operation of this unit. Customer failure to follow these instructions may void the warranty.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Plunger is clogged
Plunger is stuck
Float Paddle not installed correctly
Demineralization Cartridge not allowing
water to flow
Water Tank is empty
Power is set too low
Adapter is not fully plugged into port on
the back of humidifier
Hardened minerals on the nebulizer
Tank is not installed
Float Paddle not placed correctly
Unit may not be on level surface
Plunger is damaged
Plunger is sticking
Tank is cracked
Plunger may have foreign material stuck
under the Tank Gasket
The Tank has been filled past the MAX
fill level
SOLUTION
Rinse in two steps. First, spray water towards
plunger. Then, swish water in tank and dump
out. Second, add small amount of water.
Push and release Plunger to be sure water
can flow freely.
Push and release Plunger to be sure it is
moving freely
Place Float Rod over both Brackets. It does
NOT snap-in, rather is simply set in place
Uninstall Demineralization cartridge, shake a
few times, and re-install
Fill Tank with Water
Unit may need to be descaled with white
vinegar.
Increase Power Output by turning the Power
Knob clockwise (HUL585) or selecting
a higher power setting on the Touchpad
(HUL588)
Plug adapter into port
Clean Nebulizer (refer to Cleaning
instructions)
Verify that all components are
installed properly
This can also occur if the reservoir has been
overfilled, which can happen if the unit
has been moved with a full tank in place or
the tank has been repeatedly removed and
replaced while it is full. The solution is to
remove the tank, pour the water out of the
reservoir, and replace the tank again.
Ensure Float Rod properly placed on
brackets
Contact Consumer Relations
Push and release Plunger to be sure it is
moving freely
Inspect tank for damage; contact Consumer
Relations
At sink, push and release Plunger system so
water may flow
Remove some water from the Tank to bring
it below the MAX fill level. Remove all water
from the Base then realign Float Paddle.
Place Float Rod over both Brackets. It does
NOT snap in, rather is simply set in place
