Extended Menu is the LNB powering mode
and the selection of the 22 kHz tone. There
are 5 possible options, that can be selected
via the
and
buttons. These select the
powering voltage of the LNB via the input
signal of the QPSK-PAL module. The 22 kHz
tone is also chosen in this way:
LNB not powered. No tone
LNB powered at 13V. Tone activated
LNB powered at 13V. Tone de-activated
LNB powered at 17V. Tone activated
LNB powered at 17V. Tone de-activated
Note:
If you are using a Quatro type LNB, this
should be powered in each of the possible
outputs that are being used, programming
and activating 13V and switching the 22KHz
tone off in the corresponding modules.
c.- Video output mode
The following menu that appears is the Video
output mode. This allows you to select the
video output mode when receiving 16:9 trans-
missions.
There are three posible modes which adapt

- Pan&Scan: The image is center-cut.
- Full Screen: The image is adapted with no
losses but look stretched.
- Letterbox: The full image is displayed with
two black bars on top and bottom.
d.- Audio subcarrier
By pressing the
button again, the audio
subcarrier frequency in Mhz selection menu
is displayed. The possible values, that are

e.- Audio mode
The following menu that appears is the audio
mode menu. This allows you to select the ope-
rational mode of the L and R audio channels.
f.- Video carrier
The following menus facilitate the selection
of the different modulation parameters. The
first of these is for the selection of the video
carrier level (modulation depth) between 8
possible values (from 1 to 8), via the
buttons. For example :

The relationship between the parameter
selected and the programmed modulation
depth is the following (approximately):
QPSK-PAL
L and R are available in the
A/V output. The (L+R)/2
channel is modulated in RF.
R in both the A/V output
channels. The R channel is
modulated in RF.
L in both the A/V output
channels. The L channel is
modulated in RF.
