or negligence. To receive full value from the
warranty, operator must maintain the snow
thrower as instructed in this manual.

Checking Oil Level

Refer to the accompanying engine manual for
details on engine maintenance. A few essential
points for good performance by the snow thrower
are listed here.
Before operating snow thrower, check the oil level by
following steps below.
NOTE: Although multi-viscosity oils (5W30, 10W30
etc.) improve starting in cold weather, these multi-
viscosity oils also result in higher oil consumption when

used above 32
F. Check your snow thrower's engine oil
level more frequently to avoid possible engine damage
from running low on oil.
1. With engine on level ground, oil must be to FULL
mark on dipstick. See Figure 13 .
2. Stop engine and wait several minutes before
checking oil level. Remove oil fill cap and dipstick.
3. Wipe dipstick clean, insert it into oil fill hole and
tighten securely.
