Controlling the Temperature
When turning on your freezer for the first time, it is recommended to set
the freezer temperature to 0°F (-18°C).
Note: Setting the temperature only sets the average temperature for
the entire unit. Temperatures inside each compartment may differ from
displayed temperature.
Tip: Factors that affect temperature include: the amount of food inside
the freezer, and the ambient temperature around the unit. Overfilling
unit with foodstuffs may restrict circulation and reduce cooling perfor-
mance. Placing unit next to heat sources, e.g. stoves and ovens, or in
direct sunlight, may reduce performance.
Adjust temperature settings according to the following instructions:
1. Adjust between °F/°C — To toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit
settings, press and hold the "TEMP." button for 3 seconds.
2. Select Temperature — Press the "TEMP." to change the temperature
setting.
• Fahrenheit range: 7°F to -11°F. (adjusts in 1° decrements)
• Celsius range: -14°C to -24°C. (adjusts in 1° decrements)
3. Fast Freeze — This mode quickly reduces the freezer's temperature.
• Press the "MODE" button until Fast Freeze activates. "Fast Freeze"
will illuminate on display when mode is selected, and freezer
temperature will set to -11°F (-24°C).
• Fast Freeze automatically turns off after 52 hours.
• Turn off Fast Freeze by pressing "MODE" (unit will return to previ-
ous temperature setting) or by adjusting the temperature setting.
• Caution: Remove bottles and canned drinks from freezer when
using Fast Freeze mode—sudden freezing may cause them to
explode.
