F. Cleaning and checking
This operation cannot be carried out by the user.
1.
The machine must be thoroughly cleaned once a year (preferably in autumn), either as part of a
maintenance contract or when requested by the user.
Cleaning the machine:
Cut all power to the VMI
•
accidentally reset.
Open the machine's technical cover by removing the 4 plastic screws.
•
Cleaning the motor:
•
o Open the equipment hatch and remove the VMI® outlet duct.
o Remove the dust from the fan's wheel using a blower or a dry brush.
o Wipe the inside of the housing with a clean cloth.
Cleaning the resistor:
•
o Open the technical cover
o Remove the dust from the resistor using a blower or a dry brush.
o Wipe the inside of the housing with a clean cloth.
Wipe the inside of the housing with a clean cloth while removing the technical cover.
•
Check that all of the connections are plugged into the electronic plug-in unit.
•
Close the cover again by screwing the 4 screws down again.

To ensure the appliance remains effective, it is important to check the following points:
The condition of the duct system. Clean or change if necessary.
•
The roof outlet or the suction grille must be clear and not obstructed by anything (nest,
•
leaves, etc.). If it is obstructed, clean it following the safety rules.
The various air passages (openings, grilles, clearance under doors) must not be
•
obstructed or reduced in size.
