information on the type plate.
•
Ensure that the unit is supplied with a rated current of no more than 30 mA a using
a residual current device (RCD).
•
Remember that the sockets and their connections are protected against flooding
and moisture. The installation site must have a drain for accumulated water or be
elevated to ensure flooding is not possible.
•
A sturdy stand should be chosen. We recommend lowering the tank into the earth
(min. 1/3, max. 3/4 of the overall height). The stand can also be secured using
stones or other aids. (See diagram, p. 9 Fig. A)
•
Ensure that the pond pressure filter, the plugs, and the extension cable are
positioned in such a way that they are protected from splashing water.
•
Take out all plugs before starting work on the pond pressure filter or the pump.
•
Never immerse the pond pressure water in the water.
•
Never use connections, adapters, extensions or connecting cables which have not
been approved for outdoor use.
•
Never pull or carry the unit by the power cable. Do not let the power cable come
into contact with sharp objects or heat.
•
Position the cables in such a way that they are not obstructing any paths or likely
to become damaged.
•
Once the set has been assembled, the plugs must always be within reach of the
units. These must not be built in or covered, so as to ensure they can always be
disconnected in the event of an emergency.
•
Only operate the pond pressure filter set with hoses that are designed for a
pressure of at least 0.3 bar or which match the maximum pump pressure.
•
Check and clean the drain outlet to the pond at regular intervals. It should always
be free from deposits since otherwise an increase in pressure could result, which
could in turn lead to a leak and the pond running empty.
•
While the pond pressure filter is being operated in "Filter mode", all open hose
connections must be sealed with a sealing cap.
•
Before you switch on the pond pressure filter, you must ensure that all connections
have been installed properly and that all the connections are tight.
•
Never filter any liquids other than water.
•
In the event of frost (or where frost is expected), you must remove the pond
pressure filter and the pump and store these as described below.
•
Place the pond pressure filter so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight.
•
This unit may be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacity
or a lack of experience and knowledge provided they are supervised or have been
briefed on the safe use of the unit and understand the associated risks.

•
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
•
Children must not be allowed to play with the unit. Cleaning and user maintenance
must not be carried out by children.
•
The outdoor electrical installations used to operate the unit must meet the
applicable safety regulations.
•
Ensure that the pump does not intake any sand.
•
If the pump is not functioning correctly, remove the mains plug immediately. Do
not attempt to repair the pump yourself because this may pose a risk to your
safety and that of other individuals. Furthermore, this will void any guarantee and
warranty claims. Only authorised individuals may carry out a repair on this unit.
•
Clean the pump regularly according to the guidelines.
•
Do not insert any objects in the pump openings, especially when it is in operation.
•
The pump should not be operated in water with very high iron content or very
alkaline or salty water.
•
Caution: fragile components: ensure that the pond pressure filter and the pump
are not exposed to any shocks or impacts.
•
Do not use the unit if you are tired or under the influence of medication.
•
Disconnect the mains plug before any adjustment or maintenance work.

Definition of clear water:
Clear water is the state whereby you can see fish and stones at a water depth of 1 m.
Loss of pressure due to excessive differences in height/distances:
•
In order to avoid a loss of pressure, trim the adapter to the appropriate size.
•
Avoid unnecessary corners and pressure points in the hoses, which can also lead to
a loss of pressure.
•
Do not bend the hose.
