If the pump has to bridge excessive distances, this reduces the pressure and
the output of the entire system.
Set up the pond pressure filter at least 1.20 m away from the pond (safety
distance!) and position the pump right next to the edge of the water where
possible.
Pump
Attach the hose connection adapter to the pump. Connect the suction cups to the
pump too. You can adjust the output of the pump by turning the power controller in
the direction "+/-". A replacement hose connection adapter is included.
Please note that the lubricant in the pump motor may lead to impurities in the
water.
Pond pressure filter: how it works
A-Water inlet
The pump is connected with the water inlet via a pressure hose.
B- Swirling system
Biomass is separated by centrifugal forces once the crank unit (H) is activated and the
function switch (G) is set to "Clean".
C- Mechanical filter/biological water purification
Dirt particles are absorbed by the outer surface of the sponge before the water reaches
the inner chamber of the filter. The pores of the water sponge have a large inner
surface which can house microorganisms. The yellow and blue sponges vary in size
and density. This creates zones in which water can flow at different rates. Zones with a
higher flow rate (blue) are more likely to be colonised by microorganisms that convert
ammonium into nitrate (detoxifying effect). Zones with a slower flow rate particularly
support the growth of anaerobic microorganisms which reduce nitrate to nitrogen.
D- Pre-purification of the pond water
While water is flowing through the pond pressure filter, it is exposed to the ultraviolet
light of the UV-C lamp. This destroys harmful bacteria, germs and reduces the growth
of algae at the same time.

E- Water outflow
The purified water is directed back into the pond at
the outflow.
F- Cleaning connection
A hose can be connected here to clean the filter;
accumulated dirt can be drained via this hose and used
e.g. to fertilise a flowerbed or simply be disposed of.
To do so, the function switch (G) must be set to the
position "Clean" and the crank (H) must be activated.
G- Function switch
The function switch is required to switch between the
position "Filter" and the position "Clean".
H- Crank
Feature for cleaning the sponges.
Pressure check
Pressure is elevated: orange-coloured "pin" is pointing
upwards. Consider cleaning.
Montage
Before you start up your new pond pressure filter, ensure that all cable and hose
connections are sitting correctly and that the sealing rings are not tilted. The function
switch must be set to "Filter mode".
