1. Switch on pump. The pump will start up automatically once the mains plug has
been plugged in.
2.
The function switch should be set to the position Outflow from pond pressure
filter into pond.
Do not start up the UV-C lamp before the pump has started supplying water.
Always switch the pump on first.
3. Check that all the connections are watertight. Use the hose clamps supplied to
seal the hose connections properly. Leaky hose connections can lead to a loss of
pressure, which can significantly reduce efficiency and thus the cleaning power of
the set.
4.
Place the frosted glass panel on outlet "F" (indicated

screw tight with the union nut. This will prevent filtered water
from running out of the filter drum.
5. It is important to make sure that the large rubber seal is between the top part and
the tank and that it is in no way tilted. This is the only way to be certain that there
is no water escaping between the two main parts. Even if the rubber seal is only

) of the pond pressure filter, insert the seal, and
slightly tilted, it may be difficult to correctly position the lid of the pond pressure
filter and to close the sealing ring.
Tip: position the large rubber seal slightly above the top edge of the tank and hold
it there while you position the lid (see sketch on the left). Let the rubber seal go
while you get the lid into position, thus rolling the rubber seal down into position.
If you dampen the seal too it will be even easier.
6. Connect the pond pressure filter. If being set up for the first time or being newly
set up, the full cleaning effect will take a few weeks to become apparent. The
required microorganisms need to form first. But this happens particularly quickly
in ambient temperatures of over 10 °C.
Reinigung und Wartung
The pond pressure filter functions largely maintenance-free. However, the filter
sponges should be cleaned at regular intervals. Any deposits forming will decrease the
cleaning effect.
You should NOT completely clean out the pond pressure filter. This would partially
or totally destroy cleaning bacteria accumulated over time, which would hamper
cleaning performance. The full cleaning effect would not be restored until new cultures
had been formed.
You should clean the sponges roughly every two weeks (depending on the degree of
impurity) as follows:
1. Pull out the pond pressure filter mains plug to disconnect this from the power.
2. Pull out the pump mains plus to disconnect this from the power.
3. Attach the crank.
4. Remove the hose fixings (hose clamps) and remove the hoses (a little water will
come out).
5. Attach a hose to connection "F" where necessary to discharge the dirty water in a
jet, e.g. to use as fertiliser.
6. Turn the function switch to the position "Clean".
7. Remove the frosted glass panel from outlet "F" of the pond pressure filter
