Cleaning/replacing the quartz tube
1. Disconnect the pond pressure filter from the power supply.
2. Remove the UV-C lamp as described above. (We recommend completely emptying
the pond pressure filter beforehand)
3. Remove the quartz tube from the housing. This is simply pushed in and can be
removed easily. An elastic band prevents it from slipping.
4. Clean the quartz tube with clear water and a fine cloth.
5. Dry the quartz tube carefully before reinserting it. 6. Reassemble the pond
pressure filter and seal it.
Ensure while doing so that the seal is positioned properly.
The quartz tube is a wear part and is not subject to the stated guarantee period. This
is also a good opportunity to clean the plastic housing of the quartz tube. Before
reinserting the quartz tube, you should rinse out the plastic housing in which the
quartz tube sits with water. Please dry the house before assembly.
It is very important to make sure that the plug has been removed beforehand and
that the surface of the unit does not get wet. If it does get wet, then it is imperative
that this is dried because otherwise you run the risk of getting an electric shock.
Storage
In the event of frost (or where frost is expected), you must place the pond pressure
filter and the pump in storage. When storing, ensure that the units are kept dry and
protected against from weather exposure. They must be kept away from children. We
also recommend cleaning them thoroughly before placing in storage.
