TROUBLESHOOTING
Possible Cause
Batteries
Batteries incorrectly inserted
Use of new batteries
Batteries are empty
Contact pins are dirty
AC power adapter
Loose connection
CD lid is not securely closed
The HOLD function is activated
Moisture condensation
CD is not or incorrectly inserted
CD is damaged or dirty
RANDOM or PROGRAM is activated
PAUSE is activated
Loose or wrong connections
Volume is not turned up
Earphones worn the wrong way round
Earphone plug is dirty
Strong magnetic fields near the CD player
Electrostatic discharge from the user via
the CD player
Remedy
Insert the batteries correctly
Press PLAY·PAUSE 2;
Change the batteries
Clean them with a cloth
Connect the adapter securely
Close the lid securely
Switch off the HOLD function
Leave the player in a warm place until the
moisture evaporates
Insert a CD, label facing up
Replace or clean the CD
Switch off RANDOM or PROGRAM
Press PLAY·PAUSE 2;
Check connections
Adjust the volume
Pay attention to the L (left) and R (right) indications
Clean the earphone plug
Change the player's position or connections
Press SKIP·SEARCH S or T once or press
PLAY·PAUSE 2; twice
