Problem
Refrigerator does not
operate
Vibration or rattling
(slight vibration is normal)
Motor operates for long
periods or cycles on and off
frequently. (Modern refrigerators

a larger freezer require more
operating time. They start and
stop often to maintain even
temperatures)
Refrigerator or freezer
compartment too warm
Frost or ice crystals on frozen
food (frost within package is
normal)
Divider between refrigerator and
freezer compartments feels warm
Frequent "buzzing" sound
Possible causes
Refrigerator in
defrost cycle
Either or both controls set to 0 (OFF)
Refrigerator is
unplugged
The fuse is blown / circuit
breaker is tripped
The refrigerator is in
showroom mode

What to do
Wait about 30 minutes
for defrost cycle to end
