The sander has been designed for sanding drywall, ceilings
and interior walls, removing carpet remains, paint layers,
coatings, glue remains and loose plaster. In addition, the
sander can also be used for sanding floors.
While operating the sander, you must consider certain
precautions and procedures in order to avoid accidents:
▪ The rotating accessories and parts must be able to
operate at least at the rotation speed of the sander. If
this is not the case, the accessories and parts may be
damaged and cause injury to the user and damage to the
working area;
▪ Use only original VITO Velcro pads. Accessories from
other manufacturers are not suitable, may cause
unbalance, excessive vibration and may cause loss of
control of the sander;
▪ Never put the power tool down before the sanding
surface is fully stopped.
Dust resulting from sanding can be hazardous to
health. Always wear a protective mask while
operating the sander. Ensure that the dust bag is in place.
1. Before plugging in the power cord (8), make sure the
"ON/OFF" switch (9) is off;
2. Hold the sander with both hands, one hand on the main
handle (7) and the other hand on the auxiliary handle
(11);
3. Press the ON/OFF switch;
4. Touch the sander to the surface/part to be worked on;
Apply enough pressure to keep the Velcro pad fully laid
on the surface.
Make circular, transverse or longitudinal movements.
5. To turn off the sander, release the "ON/OFF" switch;
To operate the sander continuously:
6. Press the "ON/OFF" switch and simultaneously press the
lock-on button (6). Release the buttons and operate the
sander with the ON/OFF switch locked;
7. To stop the sander, press and release the "ON/OFF"
switch.
While operating the sander, pay attention to the following
instructions:
▪ Perform overlapping sweeps and keep the sanding head
in constant motion. Keeping the backing pad, too long in
one place, can cause swirl marks and sanding more than
desirable;
▪ Do not apply too much pressure on the sander in order
to avoid overload. To obtain quality and good
performance, choose the right sandpaper (material and
grit) for the type of work and the desired result;
▪ Keep safety devices, ventilation slots and motor housing
as clean as possible. Blow out the motor with
compressed air every 5 hours;
▪ The sander is not suitable for working on damp surfaces.
1. Before starting any work with the sander, set the speed
control dial (5) to the minimum speed position to test if
the backing pad is properly secured and to ensure a
smooth start of the sander;
2. If everything is operational, turn the rotation speed
control dial according to the surface and the type of work
you want to sand;
3. The speed control dial allows you to set 5 speed levels
(1-5). The speed increases when you turn the dial
upwards and decreases when you turn it downwards.
The sander has a detachable accessory that makes it easy
to use the sander when you want to sand corners.
1. Press the fixing lever (13) of the detachable accessory
(14) of the Velcro pad guard;
2. Remove the detachable accessory;
3. Work the corners with the velcro pad area unprotected
(without the guard over).
