Before servicing the equipment
• Turn the engine off.
• Wait until all moving parts come to a complete halt.
• Allow the engine to cool.
• Remove the spark plug terminal.
Handlebar assembly and adjustment
• Insert the handlebar (1) in the lower mount (2), [Fig. 01, page 07].
• Attach the upper mount (3) to the openings (4) of the lower mount (2) and fasten with the knob (5).
• Adjust the handlebar to the most comfortable position to make your work with the grass trimmer easy.
• Tighten the knob firmly (5) until the handlebar (1) is fixed and does not move.
• Introduce the cable harness (6) into the mount (7), pressing down until you hear a "click".
Adjusting the support belt
• Wear the support belt.
• Lock all safety latches (2, 3, 4, and 5), [Fig. 02, page 08].
• Adjust it again so it is very close to your body.
• Adjust the shoulder straps, the waist strap, and the chest strap to an adequate length and width.
• Attach the grass trimmer to the transport system hook and adjust the protective cushion to a comfortable length.
Assembling the cut guard
• Never operate the equipment without the cut guard correctly installed. In addition to being extremely dangerous
to the operator and people around him or her, this can also damage the equipment and void the warranty, as the
guard features a nylon string restricting device, which cuts the string to a size adequate to use.
• Attach the cut guard (1) to the grass trimmer mount (2) with both screws (3), [Fig. 03, page 08].
• Tighten the screws firmly.
Assembling the reel
• If the cutting knife is assembled, remove it together with its respective fastening parts. To do that, please refer
to "Disassembling the cutting knife" [Page 23].
• To assemble the reel, insert the spacer disc (1) in the axis (2) [Fig. 04, page 08].
• Then use the hex spanner (6) to lock the disc (1). Insert the spanner (6) in the hole (5) and align it with (3) and
(4) to lock the assembly. If the alignment is incorrect, it is not possible to proceed with assembling the reel.
• With the assembly locked with the spanner (6), insert the reel in the axis (2) and turn it counterclockwise to
tighten it. Make sure it is firmly fastened.
• Remove the spanner (6) from the assembly and the grass trimmer will be ready for use with the nylon string reel.
Disassembling the reel
• Insert the hex spanner (6) in the holes (5), (3), and (4) to lock the assembly [Fig. 05, page 08].
• Turn the nylon string reel clockwise until removing it from the axis completely.
• To assemble the cutting knife, please refer to the "Assembling the cutting knife" procedure.
