3.3.
Safety instructions for the operation
The ROHDE kiln can only be operated safely if the safety instructions are carefully followed:
•
Maintenance and repair of electronic components must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
•
For safety reasons, the kiln must be disconnected from the mains supply before any maintenance work is
carried out.
•
The kiln must not be operated with an extension cord.
•
When operated industrially, the kiln and controller must undergo a safety check to ensure correct
functionality. This should be carried out by a qualified electrician before the initial operation and then at
appropriate intervals in accordance with the national safety regulations.
3.4.
Special safety instructions for inspection hole (optional)
3.4.1.
Safety note
DANGER
Risk of injury! Hot surface.
Danger of personal injury when touching or approaching the exhaust air opening or the
inspection hole (optional) due to burning or scalding, in particular to the eyes, due to
infrared radiation or pulling.

Notes
•
Keep your face or eyes at least 40 cm away from the inspection hole (optional).
•
Do not grasp or insert objects into the inspection hole (optional).
•
If necessary, only look briefly through the inspection hole (optional) and use suitable safety inspection
glasses that are suitable for infrared radiation. Only use goggles that specifically protect against infrared
radiation.
•
Mind the pulling effect on the inspection hole (optional), when opening the inspection hole and an air
opening at the same time or while the inlet and exhaust air openings are open at the same time.
•
A sealing plug is supplied with each the exhaust air opening and the inspection hole (optional).
•
The inspection hole must always be kept closed when not in use.
