Mount the exhaust air socket (all KE standard, KE-B optional)

Action required

Screw the exhaust air socket into the hole on the ceiling of the kiln.
The opening has been located in a position that will allow fumes and

gases to be released through an exhaust air socket (optional
accessory).
Plug the exhaust air tube into the exhaust air socket and use the

fixing screw to fix it to the socket.
Attention!
Do not mount the exhaust air hose directly on the kiln. It must
4
always be ensured that the hot exhaust gases are cooled by mixing
with fresh air before they enter the hose. Otherwise the hose or the
exhaust air system will be damaged.

Mount the exhaust air slide (KE-B optional)

Action required
Mount the exhaust slide in the location shown using the

Allen screw and washer provided.

The slide is operated from above.
4.5.
Insert the cordierite base plate (KE-B)
Before starting up, place the supplied cordierite base plate carefully on the floor of the firing chamber. Be careful not
to damage the exposed heating elements.
