• Operate and maintain the tool as recommended
in this document to minimize the emission of dust
and fumes.
• Direct the exhaust so as to minimize the
disturbance of dust in a dust-filled environment.
• Where dust or fumes are created the priority
should be to control them at the point of emission.
• All features and accessories for the suppression of
dust or fumes should be correctly used and maintained
in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Select, maintain and replace consumables as
recommended in this document to prevent an
increase in dust or fumes.
• Working with certain materials creates emissions
of dust and fumes, causing a potentially
explosive atmosphere.
• Some dust created by power sanding, sawing,
grinding, drilling and other construction
activities contains chemicals known to cause
cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Inhaling hazardous dust can cause injury.
Sudden changes in motion or position can occur
while using the tool.
• Anticipate and be alert for changes in motion
during start up and operation.
• Maintain a secure grip.
• Anticipate reaction force. Adjust your stance and
hold tool securely.
• Observe the position of the reverse mechanism
before operating the tool and be aware of rotation
direction when you press the trigger.

• Keep body parts away from moving parts.
• Do not wear loose clothing and jewelry while
operating tool.

• Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
• Do not carry tool with your finger on the trigger.
• Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before
turning the tool on.
• Do not lock, tape, wire, etc., the trigger in the ON
position.
• Keep handle dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
• Avoid contact with moving parts especially the grinding
wheel to prevent cutting of hand or other objects.
• Always shut off air supply and disconnect tool
from air supply when changing accessories.
Entanglement can cause injury.
Flammable vapors can explode.
• Do not use near flammable vapors or near a gas
line or gas tank.
• Direct tool exhaust air away from flames or hot
surfaces.

• Do not lubricate tools with flammable or volatile
liquids such as kerosene, diesel or jet fuel.
• Use only recommended lubricants.
Explosion and flames can cause injury.
Lubricating oil is discharged with exhaust air.
• Operate tool in a well-ventilated area.

tool. Do not operate when fatigued, or under the

• Before using the tool, make sure that a shutoff
device has been fitted on the supply line and the
location is well-known and easily accessible so
that the air supply to the tool can be shut off in an
emergency.
• Slips, trips and falls are major causes of
workplace injury. Be aware of slippery surfaces
caused by the tool and also of the trip hazards
associated with air lines.
• Proceed with care in unfamiliar surroundings.
There can be hidden hazards such as electricity
lines or gas pipes.
• This tool is not intended for use in potentially
explosive atmospheres.
• Ensure that there are no electricity cable or gas pipes
that can be damaged during the use of the tool.

• Direct exhaust air to avoid blowing air or debris
from the workpiece onto the user or bystanders.
• When operating in heights, be aware of things
below and around you.
• Hold the tool correctly; be ready to counteract
normal or sudden movements and have both
hands ready.
• Maintain a balanced body position and secure
footing.
• Release the start-and-stop device in the case of
an interruption of the air supply.
• Use only lubricants that are specified in this
document.
• Safety glasses are required; gloves and
protective clothing are recommended.
• When working overhead, wear a safety helmet.
