Save these instructions - this manual
contains important safety and operating
instructions for battery charger models
KAC840.
DANGER
– to reduce the risk of fire or electrical
shock, carefully follow these instructions.
Before using the battery charger, read all instructions
and cautionary markings on the battery charger,
battery, and the product using the battery.
WARNING: This product can expose you
to chemicals including lead and Di(2-
ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) which are known to
the State of California to cause cancer and birth
defects or other reproductive harm. For more
information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
WARNING:
1. WARNING–To reduce the risk of fire and electric
shock, disconnect the charger from the mains
electrical supply when not in use.
2. CAUTION–To reduce the risk of fire and
electrical shock, remove battery charger from the
receptacle when not in use.

3. WARNING –To Avoid Electric Shock –Do not
touch exposed live terminals or connected
parts.
4. CAUTION–For continued protection against risk
of fire, replace only with the same type and rating
of fuse.
5. CAUTION–To reduce the risk of fire, use only on
circuits with 15A 120V branch-circuit protection
in accordance with the National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70.
6. CAUTION–Disconnect power supply before
changing fuse.
7. CAUTION–To reduce the risk of injury, charge
only KAC802, KAC804, KAC810, KA3001 and
KA3008 Kress 60V Batteries type rechargeable
batteries. Other types of batteries may burst
causing personal injury and damage.
