SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General Instructions
• This device is intended for domestic use only and must not be used for any other
purpose or in any other environment, such as non-domestic use or in a commercial
environment.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
• This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and by persons with restricted
physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and knowledge if they
are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and understand
the dangers involved.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Cleaning and maintenance work must not be carried out by children without
supervision.
• Clean the water tank every three days.
• Clean and change the filter regularly.
• Note that high humidity can encourage the growth of biological organisms in the
environment.
• Make sure that the area around the humidifier does not get damp or wet. If humidity
occurs, turn down the power of the humidifier. If the humidifier output cannot be
reduced, use the humidifier intermittently. Make sure that no absorbent materials
such as carpets, curtains, drapes or tablecloths get wet.
• Disconnect the device from the power supply while filling and cleaning.
• Never leave water in the holder when the appliance is not in use.
• Empty and clean the humidifier before storage. Clean the humidifier before the next
use.
• Drain the tank and refill every third day. Before refilling, clean it with fresh tap water
or with detergents if prescribed by the manufacturer.
• Remove any limescale, deposits or films that have formed on the sides of the tank or
on the interior surfaces and wipe dry all surfaces.
Note: Microorganisms present in the water or in the environment in which the device
is used or stored can multiply in the water tank and be released into the air, which
can lead to serious health risks. Therefore, change the water every three days and
clean the container properly.
