5.2. USING THE BLENDER
WARNING:
■
Never use the blender jar without the lid and feeding hole cap.
■
Do not attach or remove the jar when the motor is running to avoid injury or
damage to the appliance.
■
The blender can be used to prepare baby food such as vegetable or fruit purees,
blend soups, make sauces, smoothies, and more.
■
Remove any hard shells, peels or bones from ingredients, and cut ingredients into
small cubes before putting them in the blender.
1.
Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
2.
Remove the back cover (1) to access the blender coupler (FIG. B1).
3.
Add the diced ingredients and liquid to the blender jar (10). Do not exceed the
"1.5 L" maximum level mark on the jar.
CAUTION: Do not blend hot soups or liquids over 80 °C to avoid burns
or injuries. Hot foods or liquids create pressure in the jar and can escape
through the lid or blow off the lid during blending.
NOTE: If blending moderately hot foods or liquids, allow to cool sufficiently, and
then fill the blender jar 1/3 to 1/2 full for blending.
4.
Close the jar lid (9), insert the feeding hole cap (8) and turn the cap clockwise to
secure it. The feeding hole cap allows you to add additional ingredients during
blending without removing the lid.
5.
Place the blender jar (10) on the blender coupler and turn it anti-clockwise to lock
it into place.
6.
Connect the appliance to a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator light on the Speed
knob will illuminate to indicate the appliance is on.
7.
Turn the Speed knob (3) clockwise to start blending, select speed "4" – "6".
8.
To use the Pulse function, turn the Speed knob to "P" for a few seconds and release
to stop. The Pulse function jumps to the highest speed for quick short blends. Use
this function moderately to avoid overheating the motor.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the blender for more than 3 minutes continuously as
the motor may overheat. Let the appliance rest for a few minutes before blending
again. Do not exceed 15 minutes of use.
9.
Once finished using the appliance, return the Speed knob to "0" (Standby) and
unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet to turn it off. The indicator light on the
Speed knob will turn off.
10. Wait until the blades stop, then turn the blender jar (10) clockwise to remove it from
the appliance.
11. Open the jar lid and serve.
12. Close the back cover (1) when the blender is not in use.
