Do not overfill the fuel tank. To allow space for fuel to
expand, never add fuel above the lower edge of the filler
neck. Please also observe the operating instructions for the
combustion engine.
If petrol overflows, immediately clean any spilled fuel. The
combustion engine should only be started after the dirty
petrol surface has been cleaned. Any attempt at ignition
shall be avoided until the petrol vapours have volatilized
(dry with cloth).
If petrol has come into contact with the clothing, it must be
changed.
Make sure that the machine is only used by people who are
familiar with the instruction manual.
Check the leak tightness of the fuel system,
particularly visible parts such as tank, tank cap, fuel
hose, couplings and carburettor primer bulb. In the event
of leakage or damage, do not start the combustion engine
and have the blower serviced by an official dealer.
Before using the unit, replace defective parts as well as all
other worn and damaged parts.
Check that all nuts and bolts are properly tightened. It is
important to carry out regular revision and adjustments
necessary for the correct assembly of the machine, in order
to guarantee safety issues and good performance.
Check if the spark plug cap (connector) is properly
connected to the spark plug.
To ensure that you are working safely with the machine
before starting it up, you should check that:
▪ The whole machine is correctly assembled;
▪ Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and function properly. Never use the equipment if the
safety devices are missing, damaged or worn out;
▪ Fuel tank, fuel line and tank cap are in perfect condition;
▪ The carrying straps and fixing points are in perfect
condition and properly fitted.
Make all adjustments and work necessary. If you have any
questions or difficulties, contact your official dealer.
Observe the local regulations on the hours when it is
allowed to operate combustion-engine machines and the
permitted noise level.
While the machine is running, particles may be thrown out
at high speed and cause injury. Never point the blower tube
in the direction of people or animals.
Keep third parties away from the blower's area of
operation, at least 15m away. Never work while
animals or people, especially children, are in the danger
zone.
Also keep a safe distance from objects (vehicles and glass)
in order to avoid material damage.
The control and safety devices fitted to the machine must
not be removed or inhibited.
Never work with the agricultural equipment when adverse
metrological conditions such as dense fog, rain or strong
wind, storms or lightning.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and
helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during use of the equipment must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boilersuit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from rotating parts.
Always carry the blower with both shoulder straps fitted. If
necessary, ask for assistance to place the machine on your
back.
