2.8 Safety instructions for individual operating phases
2.8.1 Transport
f Only transport the device according to the description in the Operating Instructions (see
Transportation and Assembly in the Operating Instructions, "Supporting documents",
page 36).
f In order to avoid corrosion on the device and subsequent damage to the device,
transport and store the device only within the permissible temperature range and
ambient conditions (see Requirements on ambient conditions in the Operating
Instructions, "Supporting documents", page 36).
2.8.2 Initial operation
f Ensure that this machine is only operated by trained specialists.
f If the device has been stored in a cold environment or at high humidity, maintain a
drying or temperature adjustment time of approx. 4 hours (without voltage) before
initial operation, at room temperature.
f Before connecting the device, check that the supply voltage and frequency are correct
at the point of installation (see Electrical Data in the Operating Instructions, "Supporting
documents", page 36).
f Before connecting the device, check that the compressed air connections are correct at
the point of installation (see Requirements on incoming compressed air, "Supporting
documents", page 36).
f Comply with the requirements of ambient conditions (see Requirements on location
site and ambient conditions in the Operating Instructions, "Supporting documents",
page 36).
2.8.3 Operation
f Keep unauthorized persons, such as patients, children and animals, away from the unit.
f In all cases of doubt regarding the safety of the appliance, switch off the appliance and
take suitable measures to prevent further use.
f Prior to connecting power or operation, check the device, the accessories and protective
equipment for any damage.
f Do not use damaged, non-functioning equipment or accessories; instead notify your
authorized service partner.
f In order to ensure the product safety and warranty services, the device must be
exclusively operated with the original accessories from Ivoclar Vivadent. The user bears
the risk when using non-approved accessories.
f Ivoclar Vivadent recommends using approved materials only to ensure process reliability.
f Note on the processing of titanium/titanium alloys: Process these material only in
combination with coolant fluid. Risk of ignition of the chips!
