REPLACING THE ROLL-
PAPER AND REMOVING THE
PAPER TAKE-UP SPOOL
When a red dye appears on roll-paper during register operation, it means that it is time to
replace the existing roll-paper with new one. Change the paper without delay.
= Paper specifications
The use of paper larger or smaller than the width of the printer throat could cause
paper jamming, and result in register malfunction. Be sure to use quality paper (52 ~
64 g/m?) specified by SHARP.
# Journal paper replacement
1. To prevent faulty registration after paper replace-
ment, bring the mode switch to the ''X"' position.
2. Push the (4] key to advance paper several lines.
Then remove the take-up spool from the holder.
(See Fig. 1.)
3. After cutting the existing paper, remove the
remaining by pressing the key. (See Fig. 2.)
4, Remove the journal paper from the take-up spool.
(See Fig. 3.)
5. Install new paper-roll and the take-up spool accord-
ing to the instructions given in "'Installing Roll-
paper and Mounting the Take-up Spool"'.
6. Finally, turn the mode switch to the "REG" posi-
tion. Now the machine is ready for operation.
