REPLACING
THE INK RIBBON
When printing becomes too light, replace the existing
ink ribbon with a new one as specified by SHARP in
the specification section.
1. Remove the printer cover.
2. After cutting off the journal paper, press the
key to remove it. (See Fig. 1.)
3. Draw the reel upward if it is not locked by the
reel-stopper lever. (See Fig. 2.)
4. Install a new ink ribbon following the procedures
given below. Since the right and left reels differ
from each other, take special notice of the ink
ribbon's winding (the arrows indicate the direc-
tions of winding). (See Fig. 3.)
