Ignition Control Module
The control sends and receives voltages to operate or
verify operation of components. Refer to the following
and Fig. 13 to understand the ignition control's terminal
designators if doing voltage checks on the control.
GND: Earth ground
GND (BURNER): Burner earth ground
24V: 24VAC from transformer
BLOWER: Line voltage to motor minicontactor
120V (LINE): Main power supply voltage
MAIN VALVE: Line voltage to gas solenoid relay
ALARM: Voltage to energized red fault LED & motor relay
T-STAT: 24VAC from transformer
APS: 24VAC from air pressure switch
SPARK: High voltage sent to the igniter.
Also refer to "Operation Sequence" within this manual as
needed to understand operation of the ignition control
during a call for heat.

LED Indications, Error Operation
Upon detection of a fault by the ignition control module's
internal diagnostics, sparking is turned off and the
solenoids are closed. The control module then enters
standby mode, depending on the error, and flashes a red
LED error code. In standby mode, the control disables
operation until the error is corrected, at which time the
normal operation sequence is initiated again. Refer to
error codes below. Power removal from heater is required
to clear the error code.

WARNING
Burn Hazard
■ Do not disassemble the gas solenoids or the
regulator.
■ Do not attempt to replace any components of the
gas solenoid or the regulator.
■ The gas solenoids and regulator must be
replaced if any physical damage occurs.
■ Failure to follow this warning will result in fire or
explosions, leading to injury or death to humans,
and property damage.
ATTENTION
■ The following explains a typical procedure to be followed
in checking the supply gas pressure.
■ Consult the dataplate on the heater or page 4 in this
manual for specific pressures to be used in conjunction
with this procedure.
