Gas pressure gauges capable of reading
up to 35 in.W.C./8.7 kPa. (Available from
L.B.White Co. if desired).

Rubber tube, 3/16 ID. x 5/16 OD. x 12 in.
A. Preparation
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical supply and
close the fuel supply valve to the heater.
2. Install an appropriate tee pipe with a pressure barb
between the 2nd stage regulator and the heater inlet.
B. Gauge Installation
1. Ensure the pressure gauge is reading zero out before
starting.
2. Connect the tube to the pressure barb of the tee and to
the pressure gauge barb.
3. Open the fuel supply valves to the heater and reconnect
the heater electrical supply.
4. Start the heater and set the discharge temperature to
the highest temperature.
C. Reading Pressures
1. With the heater operating, the pressure gauges should
read the pressures specified on the dataplate.
2. If the pressure reading agree with that specified on the
dataplate, then no further checking or adjustment is
required. Proceed to section D.
3. If the pressure do not agree with that specified on the
dataplate, then the regulator controlling gas pressure to
the heater requires adjustment

D. Completion
1. Once the proper supply pressure have been
confirmed and/or properly set, close the fuel supply
valve to the heater and allow the heater to burn off
any gas remaining in the gas supply line.
2 . Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and
close fuel supply valve.
3. Remove the tubes and gauges.
4. Securely connect the 2nd stage regulator to the
heater inlet pipe.
5. Open fuel supply valve and reconnect electrical
supply to heater. Start the heater and check for gas
leaks.
6. Set the Temperature Controller temperature to
desired setpoint.
