USING
THE DRIP COFFEE MAKER
You can prepare up to 10 cups of
coffee with the "Plissé" drip coffee
maker.
The water tank, (B) the filter (H)
and the glass jug (I) have a graduated
scale expressed in "cups".
1 "cup" is equivalent to approx. 150
ml. Tank: the minimum capacity cor-
responds to 2 "cups", the maximum
capacity to 10 "cups", and is indicated
with MAX.
• Fill the tank with natural water
at room temperature. To do
this, remove the tank and fill it
under the tap, or use the glass jug
supplied with the machine. To lift
the tank, first remove the cover,
grasp the tank with 2 hands and
pull upwards (fig. 5). Having filled
the tank place it back in its seat
and replace the cover. Remember
that the amount of water in the
tank must remain between the
minimum and maximum levels.
Use the graduated scale visible on
the right-hand side of the tank to
check the amount of water you
have put in the tank.
ATTENTION!
The drip coffee maker has a safety
device to prevent it from working if
the tank is empty.
To warn you of this, the machine
emits 10 beeps, the LED light on
the ON/OFF button is white and
flashes, and the "drip" icon
on
the display also flashes. Press the
ON/OFF button to switch off the
appliance.
Before putting the machine into
operation, check that there is water
in the tank.
DO NOT fill the tank with any
liquid other than natural water at
room temperature.
• Lift the cover on the filter support,
check that the filter holder is
correctly inserted and place the
mesh filter inside it. (fig. 6)
• Fill the filter with ground coffee
using the dosing spoon supplied in
the package. (fig. 7)
We recommend:
1 full dosing spoon for each cup of
coffee.
Depending on your taste, you can
increase or decrease the number
of spoons to obtain a stronger or
lighter coffee.
Use only coffee suited for this type
of drip coffee maker.

• Close the filter support cover.
• Check that the jug is placed
correctly on the heating base.
• Press the ON/OFF button once to
operate the machine. (fig 8)
• The red LED on the ON/OFF
button comes on and the machine
emits 1 beep.
The "drip" icon
appears on
the display and remains lit while
the machine is preparing and
dispensing the coffee. Once the
machine has finished preparing the
coffee, it emits 3 beeps and the
"drip" icon
switches off.
• Before removing the jug, wait a
few minutes to allow the water
to pass through the coffee and
percolate in the glass jug.
• Then remove the jug from the
heating base and pour the coffee
into the cups.
If you do not drink the coffee
immediately or do not drink all of
it, leave the jug on the heating base
which will keep the coffee at the ideal
temperature.
The red LED on the ON/OFF button
flashes slowly to indicate that the
coffee temperature maintenance cycle
has started. The icons on the display
are switched off.
The coffee temperature maintenance
cycle lasts for around 30 minutes, after
which time the machine switches off
automatically.
You will hear 1 beep and the LED on
the ON/OFF button switches off.
If you wish to stop the coffee heating
cycle, press the ON/OFF button once.
• When the machine is off and
cooled, lift the filter support,
remove the filter from the filter
holder and throw away the used
coffee. The filter holder and filter
have a small handle to make it easy
to remove them from the support.
If you wish to stop the machine ope-
ration before the end of the coffee
preparation cycle, press the ON/OFF
button once.
The machine switches off and so does
the LED on the ON/OFF button. The
appliance emits 1 beep.
ATTENTION!
This coffee machine has a
"Drip-stop" system (automatic drip
stop valve) which prevents coffee
from dripping onto the heating base
when the jug is removed from the
appliance.
• DO NOT remove the jug from
the heating base while the
coffee is being prepared.
• Do not leave the jug empty or
with little coffee, which could
quickly evaporate on the heating
base when the appliance is on.
This could cause irreparable
damage to the jug.
Thermal shocks could break
the jug. Always wait for the jug
to return to room temperature
before adding hot coffee.
• The heating base, filter holder
and filter reach high
temperatures during the coffee
preparation process. NEVER
touch them immediately after
using the appliance; wait for
them to cool down.
• To avoid the risk of burns,
during operation, DO NOT
place your hand on the steam
outlet holes placed on the filter
support cover.
• Always remember to remove
the plug from the socket, when
not in use.
• Always wait for the machine to
cool down before operating it
again.
