ALU decorative door sill trims
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.

Note
The templates for positioning the door sill trims on the vehicle sills are not included in the set
and must be ordered individually from the range of ŠKODA Original Accessories.
Templates
Note. The internal openings in the templates are designed for the ALU
door sill trim set.
Important mounting notes
In order to correctly bond the door sill trims to the vehicle, the ambient temperature, the
vehicle temperature and the temperature of the components to be fitted must be between
18 and 30 °C. Protect the components from direct sunlight.
- Thoroughly wash the vehicle sills with mild soapy water and rinse them with clean water.
Then degrease them with a suitable cleaning agent. Leave to dry for approx. 10 minutes.
- Note the difference between the door sill trims for the left and right vehicle sides. The
arrow on the sill trim points in the direction of travel.
- Use the templates to correctly position the door sill trims on the vehicle sills. Always posi-
tion the relevant template on the vehicle sill as shown in the figure (the templates follow
the exact shape of the vehicle sill).
- Use a suitable felt-tip pen to mark the position of the sill trim on the vehicle sill. Position the
relevant door sill trim on the mark, in parallel to the door seal, and mark the position of the
door sill trim on the other side.
- Do not remove the protective strips until just before the actual bonding procedure.
Note. When positioning the door sill trim on the vehicle sill during the
bonding procedure, proceed with utmost care. A strip that has been
lightly applied can still be removed but you must ensure that this does
not result in any paint damage to the vehicle sill.
- After bonding them, carefully press on all of the door sill trims (contact pressure 80 N).
Press down on the door sill trims again 15 minutes after the bonding procedure.
- Use a suitable cleaning agent to clean off the guide marks.
