Two controls let you regnlate the temperature
in the
fresh food and freezer compartments.
At first, set the fi'eezer and flesh food controls at
INITIAL SETTING.
Allow
24 hours fbr the temperature
to stabilize,
whether
you are setting
the contiols
for the first time
or adjusting
them
later, Then,
if you want
colder
or
watmer
temperatures
in either compartment,
g_adually
adjust
the controls.
Note:
Turning
the fieezer control
to OFF
turns
off cooling
in both
compartments--fresh
food and
freezer--but
does not shut offpower
to the refrigerator.
How
to Test Temperatures
To test the flesh
food
compartment
place a bulb-type
thermometer
into a jar of water
on the top shelf. Check
it one
day later'.
To test the freezer
compartment
put a bulb-
type thermometer
between
two or three frozen packages
in the center
of the freezer.
Check
it one day later:
Refrigerator
Doors
The refrigerator
doors may feel different
than the ones
you ate used to. The specia! door openlng/closing
feature
makes sure the doors close all the way and are
securely
sealed.
When opening and closing the door you will notice a
"stop" position_ If the door is opened past this "stop"
point, the door will iemain open to allow you to load
and unload food moie easily. When the door is only
partia!ly open it will automatically
close.
The resistance you feel at the "stop" position will be
reduced as the door is loaded with food.
When the door is only
partially open it will
automatically
close,
Beyond this "stop"
the
door will stay open.
