OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WATER DRAINAGE
There are two ways to drain water:
1. Condenser Drain
When the internal condenser pan is full of
condensed water, the appliance will stop operating
and the display will show error code "Ft". The air
conditioning or dehumidifying action will stop but
the fan may continue to operate.
1. Ensure that the appliance is turned off and
unplugged from the power source before
draining the water.
2. Carefully move the appliance to a location
where the water can be drained such as a fl oor
drain, a sink or similar. Keep the appliance
upright at all times so water does not leak.
3. Remove the drain plug and allow the water to
completely drain.
4. Replace the bottom drain plug, pressing fi rmly to
ensure a tight fi t and no leaks.
5. The "Ft" error symbol will disappear and the
appliance will resume regular function once
power is restored.
2. Continuous Drain
During dry mode, we recommend using the
continuous drain option so that the appliance will
automatically drain collected water.
1. Ensure that the appliance is turned off and
unplugged from the power source before
attaching the drain hose.
2. Remove the drain plug and attach the provided
drain hose or a standard garden hose to the
continuous drain. If using a garden hose, ensure
that it is not more than 6 feet long so that water
does not collect inside the hose.
3. Ensure that there are no kinks or bends in the
drain hose as this can stop water from draining.
4. Direct the end of the drain hose toward a
basement fl oor drain, a sink or similar.
Remember that there is no drain pump in this
appliance, the continuous drain is activated by
gravity only. Ensure that the drain hose goes straight
down toward the fl oor from the drain connection.
If the hose is not positioned directly downwards,
water will not drain correctly. Check the appliance
regularly to make sure the drain hose is not leaking.
