Do not stand this unit on its side or turn it upside
down when making connections as the turntable
mat could come loose and damage the stylus.
Placement
@
Place the unit ina stable and horizontal position where there
is little or no vibration.
@™ Place the unit away from the speakers so that it will be
subject to as little direct sound radiation as possible.
@
Donotuse orstore this unit where it will be exposed to dust,
dirt, high humidity or high temperature. Do not place it near
heaters.
@
Place it in a well-ventilated location.
@
Do not use under direct sunlight, spotlights, or other ex-
tremely bright light sources.
@
Do not place it near or on top of a power amplifier, since
power amplifiers radiate much heat.
@
Place the turntable away from the power amplifier to prevent
hum.
Hum may be caused by leakage flux from the transformer in
the power amplifier (or integrated amplifier). Therefore, if
you
notice
hum,
try moving
the turntable
to a slightly
different location, further away from the amplifier.
M@
If you try to listen to a radio near the turntable while it is
being used, you may hear some interference.
Connections
Precautions
e
Make sure your hands are dry when making connections.
e
Turn
power
off
to
all
components
before
making
connections.
®
Be sure
to read the operating
instructions
for all units

e
Ifthe turntable is lifted vertically or turned over, remove the
turntable mat to avoid damage to the stylus.
4. Use the stereo connection cable to connect the turntable to
your amplifier or receiver. Be sure that the white plugs are
connected to the left channel jacks and the red plugs are
connected to the right channel jacks.
2. Plug the ground wire into the turntable's ground jack and
connect
the other
end
of the wire
to the
amplifier
or
receiver's ground (GND) screw.
Note that hum
may occur
if you
neglect to connect the
ground wire.
3. Plug the female end of the power cord into the turntable's AC
IN jack and plug the other end into a wall socket. (Fig. 2)
(The configuration of AC power plug may differ according to
the area.)
This screw adjusts the stylus set-down
position at the
beginning of a record.
It has been preset at the factory and should not require
readjustment.

Caution:
Make sure that the turntable's AC line-voltage selector is
matched
to your local voltage before connecting
the AC
power plug.
If the
pre-selected
voltage
is different
from
your
local
voltage, turn the AC line-voltage selector with a screwdriver
so that it corresponds to your local voltage.
The AC line-voltage selector is located at the back of the
unit. (See page 2)
fe There is no voltage selector for some countries; the correct
| voltage is already set.
Be sure to disconnect the power cord before setting the AC
line-voltage selector.
lf the power supply in your area is 117V or 120V, set to the
"110V-127V (127V)" position. (For SAUDI ARABIA only)
