Then place the device back on the base and insert the power plug into a suitable socket.
Press the on/off toggle switch. The power indicator lights up as long as the cooking
process is active. The power indicator goes out as soon as the cooking process is
finished. The unit switches off automatically.
The cooking process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the on/off toggle switch
upwards & lifting the jug.
Remove the jug from the base. Pour out the boiling water through the spout into any
vessel.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when the unit is not in use.
Clean and dry the kettle and place it back on the base.
► Use caution when pouring the hot water and do not open the lid when transferring.

16 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and maintaining
the device. Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device
incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.
16.1 Safety information
Please observe the following safety notices, before you commence with cleaning the
device:
► The Classico WK 2200 must be cleaned at regular intervals and limescale should be
removed.
► Switch off the Classico WK 2200 prior to cleaning it and unplug the plug from the wall
power outlet.
► Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
► Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.
► Do not immerse pot, base or power cord in water.
16.2 Cleaning
Pot and base
 Rinse the pot with a damp cloth.
16.3 Descaling
 Depending on the hardness of water you should descale the device once every two
weeks.
