3. OPERATION
Utensils
The ideal material for a microwaveable container should be transparent to microwaves, as it
allows the waves to pass through and heat the food.
Microwaves cannot penetrate metal, so metal utensils or dishes with metallic trim should
not be used.
Do not use recycled paper products for microwave cooking, as they may contain small metal
fragments which may cause sparks and/or fire.
Round/oval dishes are preferred to square/oblong ones, as food in corners tends to
overcook.
Narrow strips of aluminium foil may be used to prevent overcooking of exposed areas. But be
careful, do not use too much.

Setting digital clock
For example, imagine you want to set the microwave clock time to 7:30.
In standby mode, press and hold the CLOCK/ KITCHEN TIMER button for 3 seconds, the clock
will be set in a 12-hour cycle; press the button again, to set the clock in a 24-hour cycle.
Turn the MENU/TIME dial to select the hour digit (7).
Press the CLOCK/KITCHEN TIMER button.
Turn the MENU/TIME dial to select the minute digits (30).
Press the CLOCK/KITCHEN TIMER button to confirm.
